What stays on your device
The app is designed so that portfolio holdings, quantities, cost basis and transactions are stored locally for its portfolio features. The app does not connect to a wallet or exchange and does not receive your portfolio record as backend portfolio data. Device backups and Apple platform behavior are separate from the app’s own backend and are described in the Privacy Policy.
What market requests can contain
To show market and historical-price information, limited requests can include a public asset identifier, selected fiat currency, historical period, market section or search query. Currency conversion can also require a currency pair. Those requests do not contain your holdings or quantities. The website separately uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate site usage, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Public addresses, keys and permissions are different
A public wallet address does not give signing authority, but sharing it can let a service associate that address with public on-chain activity. A private key or recovery phrase can authorize control of funds and should never be entered into portfolio software. Wallet integrations may also request permissions; review what a connection can read or do before approving it. Private Crypto Tracker does not require a wallet address, private key, recovery phrase or wallet permission for manually entered tracking.
What manual tracking means in practice
You choose which holdings to enter and are responsible for keeping them accurate. The tracker can use market information to help value a recorded quantity, but it cannot discover a wallet balance or reconcile an exchange account when neither is connected. For exact app data flows and limitations, read the current Privacy Policy.
