1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Private Crypto Tracker is designed to handle information when you use the app. Private Crypto Tracker is operated by Devan Kishen Borkhatria.

2. Information stored locally on the device

Private Crypto Tracker is designed with a local-first architecture. Portfolio information that you enter into the app, including holdings, quantities, cost basis and transactions, is stored locally on your device for the app's portfolio features.

3. Portfolio holdings and transactions

Portfolio holdings, quantities, cost basis and transactions are not sent to our backend.

4. Information we do not receive

We do not receive your portfolio holdings, quantities, cost basis, transactions, wallet addresses, exchange credentials or user identity. The app does not connect to wallets or exchanges and does not custody cryptocurrency.

5. Market-data requests

To provide market and historical price information, the app may send limited market-data requests through our backend infrastructure. Depending on the feature, these requests may include information such as a canonical asset identifier, selected fiat currency, historical period, market section, or market search query. These requests do not contain your portfolio holdings, quantities, cost basis, or transactions.

6. Backend infrastructure

Our backend infrastructure processes limited requests needed to provide market and FX information. It is not used to receive or store your portfolio data.

7. Kraken market data

Crypto market data is sourced through our backend infrastructure using publicly available Kraken market data. Market sections such as gainers and losers are derived from supported Kraken market data. Features that Kraken does not provide, such as global market-cap rankings, are not fabricated or represented as available.

8. European Central Bank FX reference rates

GBP, USD and EUR conversion uses daily informational reference rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB). These are reference rates rather than real-time trading or execution rates. Where necessary, cross-rates are derived from the available EUR reference rates.

9. Widgets

Widgets use limited, sanitized data shared locally by the app. Widgets do not directly access the app's full portfolio database or make direct requests to our market-data backend.

10. Apple subscriptions and purchases

Subscription purchases and billing are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your Apple payment card details through the app. Apple's applicable privacy terms govern information Apple processes for purchases and subscriptions.

11. Analytics and tracking

Private Crypto Tracker does not intentionally include third-party advertising, behavioral advertising, or analytics services in the app. The website is also designed without intentional advertising or analytics tracking.

12. Notifications, if applicable

Private Crypto Tracker does not currently provide price-alert functionality. If the app introduces materially different notification functionality in the future, this policy may be updated to describe how that functionality operates.

13. Caching and temporary service data

Our backend infrastructure may temporarily process limited technical request information needed to provide market-data and FX responses. This can include request parameters and cached market or reference-rate data. Portfolio holdings, quantities, cost basis and transactions are not used as backend portfolio data.

14. Data retention

Portfolio information stored locally in the app remains on your device unless you delete it through the app or remove the app, subject to Apple's platform behavior and any device backups you maintain.

15. Data deletion

You can manage or delete locally stored portfolio information using the app's available controls. Removing the app may also remove its locally stored app data, subject to Apple's platform behavior and any backups maintained on your device or through Apple services.

16. Security

We take reasonable care in designing and operating the services, but no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

17. Third-party services

The relevant third-party services are Apple for subscriptions and purchases, Kraken market data through our infrastructure, and European Central Bank reference rates.

18. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.

19. User rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information. Because the app is designed so that portfolio information remains locally on your device rather than being collected by us, many portfolio-data actions can be performed directly in the app. If you have a privacy question or believe we hold personal information about you, contact us at privatecryptotracker@gmail.com.
