What this calculator measures
Compare the estimated value of several manually entered positions with their recorded purchase cost. This result depends on the figures you enter and is for information only, not financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
Formula
Portfolio value = sum of quantity × current reference price. Cost basis = sum of quantity × purchase price. Estimated profit or loss = value − cost basis.
Worked example
One BTC bought at £40,000 and 100 units bought at £10, then referenced at £50,000 and £12, gives an estimated portfolio value of £51,200 and cost basis of £41,000.
Understand the limits
Fees: This multi-asset estimate excludes transaction fees, sales, spread, taxes and trading costs.
Currency: choose GBP, USD or EUR and enter every cash amount and price in that same currency. The selector formats the results; it does not convert mixed-currency inputs.
